CarCare Coach is designed to work without an account. This page explains the current local-first behavior in straightforward terms.
Data stored on this device
In the MVP, vehicle and maintenance data is stored locally on your device unless cloud sync is added later. That can include vehicle details, mileage, service logs, settings, checklist progress, notes, costs, and receipt filenames.
No cloud account today
The current app does not create a CarCare Coach account or send your maintenance record to a CarCare Coach server. Clearing browser storage, resetting the app, or losing the device can permanently remove the local record.
Your choices
You can review records in the Garage, reset demo data, or delete the active vehicle and its service logs. Avoid entering sensitive personal information in free-text notes because those notes remain in browser storage.
Future changes
If optional cloud sync, analytics, accounts, or third-party services are added, this notice should be updated before those features are used. The product should explain what is collected, why, and how users can control it.
